Student Work Samples and Assessment Tools
Here you will find an example of a self-created assessment tool to determine the extent to which students met learning objectives in the science lesson above. I have also included student work samples as evidence of student learning. You will notice that in each rubric, I incorporate the Responsive Classroom approach to teacher language. Instead of making generalized comments (ie. good job), I make individualized comments that reinforce specific positive skills that students are demonstrating in their work.
These were certificates that were mailed to students upon completion of the science unit.
Some students decided to make videos of them conducting their experiments and explaining the results on our Bloomz app. This is an example of the feedback I provided.
